About the Buxton Toy Fair

A great Toy Fair in a beautiful setting
The picturesque spa town of Buxton, in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District, is a delightful place to visit. The long-running Toy Fair is held in the Octagon Hall, a part of the Victorian Pavilion Gardens complex. The Buxton Toy Collectors Fair sees the historic Pavilion Gardens packed full with 150 stalls selling all kinds of toys, trains and models.
The dealers who take stalls at the show travel from all over the country and bring with them a huge selection of new and old collectables to sell. Prices start from just £1 and can run up to several hundred pounds for the very rarest items.
Penketh Model Railway Centre from Warrington are regualr exhibitors at Buxton. They sell 00 gauge model railways and offer plenty of newly released models, as well as discontinued and second hand lines by Hornby, Lima, Mainline and Bachmann etc.
Collectors of diecast models can find plenty of variety at Buxton. D.M. Promotional Models, Nigel Garth, Richard Barratt, John Littlewood, Andrew Clark Models and Dalesman Diecast all offer a huge selection of Corgi, Vanguards, Tekno, EFE, Lledo, Minichamps and other diecast models - with many at bargain prices.
Chris Malbon of Metropolis Toys is a regular trader at Buxton, Chris specialises in TV and film related collectables from the 1960s to the 1980s such as James Bond, Star Wars and Dr. Who.
Model Railway enthusiasts will find plenty to interest them, with new and second hand locos, rolling stock and accessories in N, 00 and 0 gauges. You can find everything you need to create your own miniature railway
Irving Brim from Manchester has been a regular trader at the Buxton Toy Fair for well over 15 years now. Irving always brings some interesting old tinplate toys and O Gauge trains by Hornby, Marklin and Bing to each event.
Loughborough Model Centre attend most Buxton Toy Fairs throughout the year. Chris and Nicola bring with them a very wide range of new and second-hand 00 gauge model railways.
There are always hundreds of different old and new toys and models for sale. Scalextric, Lego, tinplate toys, kits, games, Star Wars and other Sci-fi or TV related collectables to name but a few.
The Pavilion Gardens have excellent catering facilities, with a café, restaurant and a licensed bar.

Directions

The Pavilion Gardens are situated near the town centre, on St. John's Road,
close to the Royal Devonshire Hospital.
There is a large pay and display car adjacent to the Pavilion Gardens. Parking is free, however, on most of the side streets in the town.
